Short and sweet appreciation article for the post-industrial/industrial techno gems I’ve been soaking my whole existence and soul in lately.
Industrial techno falls perfectly in the dark realm of the harsh noise of power electronics and the statics of hard techno which slowly but surely make for an unforgettable intense music experience.

Restive Plaggona is Dimitris Doukas and aside from the artist’s real name it’s the only information I was able to gather on them. Restive Plaggona’s haunting sound merges from experimental hard techno, amazing industrial elements with chilling melancholic dark ambient moments.

Vargdöd is yet another brilliant project/duo from Swedish artist Jonas Rönnberg aka Varg, and Anders Karlsson, they released their first EP Brutal Disciplin in 2017 on Opal Tapes (one of the best eps this year) just as you can imagine from the album title, Brutal Disciplin is dark and atmospheric and unsettling at times.

Beppu is alias of Andrew Hargreaves from The Boats and The Mistys, I haven’t really heard any of those groups’ music but Beppu totally wins it for me, between Coercion, Persuasion, and the new debut ALIENATED TRANSCENDENCE all very solid and the tracks are very consistent through out the lps I think my favorite has to be Coercion even though AT one of the best of 2017, very ear-grabbing and leans more towards the techno end of spectrum, the industrial textures still has strong gloomy presence over the album.
